Job Description

The Supply Chain Analyst will help coordinate, prepare, and analyze key supply chain metrics and perform Supply Chain data analysis for use within the plant. This position will also include project work and will participate in cross-functional teams to improve metrics in such areas as SIOP, inventory turns, working capital, lead time reductions, sole source elimination, supplier relationship management, and supply chain excellence.

* Prepare and publish key supply chain reports on a timely basis. These reports will be monthly, quarterly, and annual.
* Assist in the implementation of strategic initiatives
* Compile, analyze, and validate plant information on topics such as raw material costs, project savings, inventory turns, and supplier spend.
* Perform ad hoc analysis related to/in support of SIOP processes, inventory segmentation, material usage.
* Support SC team in analytics to be used in sourcing/VMI projects.
* Initiate and participate in continuous improvement activities in the plant both related and unrelated to Supply Chain.
* Serve as SAP power user.

Work is performed in a normal office environment with minimal physical risks involved. The noise level is usually low to moderate. Occasionally the job may require that you enter the production area, which you will need to maintain OSHA safety standards.

This position includes access or potential access to ITAR and/or EAR technical data. Therefore, candidates will need to qualify as a US Person which is defined as a US Citizen, or a Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder).

May require longer hours during month and quarter ends to generate and publish reports.
Minimal travel required.

The ideal candidates should have:

* Two (2) year degree or equivalent experience is mandatory. Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university (Business, Supply Chain, or Technical) is highly preferred. APICS/ISM/Supply Chain certification or willingness to complete first module (Part 1) of APICS CPIM certification program (or equivalent) within two years of employment is preferred.
* Zero (0) to two (2) years or more experience in professional Materials position(s) is required. Cable and electronic component purchasing experience desired or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
* Strong Analytical skills, with attention to detail.
* Demonstrated decision making and problem solving skills.
* Must be able to deliver excellent work with little supervision.
* Must be able to work in a fast paced, cross functional environment.
* Some experience in any or all areas including Project Management, negotiation, general commodity market knowledge, or general Supply Chain knowledge.
* Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement is preferred.
* A team player that can relate to people at all levels of the organization and possesses excellent communication skills.

* Ability to be flexible and able to function comfortably in a fast paced, constantly changing and ambiguous environment.

* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, suppliers, and employees. Portrays a positive and professional image. Ability to establish relations with a wide range of personalities, cultural backgrounds and educational levels.
* Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as percentages, ratios, and proportions to job-related situations.
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.
* Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
* Ability to learn SAP or other ERP systems, as well as manufacturing process and procedures, and the ability to share this knowledge with others.
* Computer skills in MS Office are required; advance skills are preferred.
