Job Description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for providing day-to-day direction to their direct reports and delivering results that meet targeted expectations in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.


* Establish and maintain a safe work environment for all employees.
* Drive schedule attainment, ensuring OTD targets are achieved.
* Motivate employees such that they achieve targeted production rates. Rally required resources when needed to remove barriers for operators.
* Work in conjunction with Value Stream Managers to ensure production is meeting requirements.
* Develop, track and post-performance metrics ensuring all employees have visibility to key performance metrics.
* Participate in both informal and formal problem-solving efforts employing formalized problem-solving techniques as appropriate.
* Monitor employee performance and administer corrective action in a timely manner when required.
* Develop employees and provide access to training to ensure they obtain the skills required to perform at high levels.
* Identify and support continuous improvement activities (COS).
* Assign employee's daily tasks to optimize productivity and achieve OTD targets.
* Ensure quality is built into product by supporting quality initiatives/objectives.
* Provide regular feedback to employees via informal daily discussions, formal employee group meetings, one-on-one meetings and performance reviews.
* Track payroll, vacation and unscheduled absences using payroll system. Ensure production order transactions are accurately performed by the team.
* Work as team member ensuring the success of the overall business.
* Interview and hire staff with the support of HR.
* Physical Demands: Occasional lifting of less than 50lbs.

CNC Supervisor -- All CNC staff

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with minimal physical risks involved. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.

Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety rated glasses are required for the job when in the manufacturing areas. Safety toed shoes or boots (ASTM 2413-11 standard) are required in specific manufacturing areas.
