Job Description

Individual is responsible for tool and die designs of new and existing product including PPAP's support. This individual will participate in Value Engineering and other world-class practices to eliminate waste within our operations.



Specific Duties:




• Design tooling for blanking dies and all related fixtures and gages in a multi-facility environment.
• Responsible for working with toolmakers.
• Provide designs, order material and support CNC-Mill, wire-EDM
• Work with tooling vendors in providing accurate design information, obtaining quotes for new tool builds and validating new tooling.
• Programming CNC-Mill and EDM is a plus.
• Create design standards where applicable.
• Assist in supplier development and qualification.





Work Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years related experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of tool and die design, steel blanking and CNC and wire EDM machine operation and programming. Knowledge of gear or spline design and inspection is a plus. Ideal candidate would be a "hands-on" person with shop floor experience. Six Sigma training and certification (Green or Black Belt) is a plus.



Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
