This position is responsible for assisting with the preparation and analysis of the monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting requirements for the division. This position is an integral part in maintaining and assuring the integrity of the general ledger of the division and maintaining effective internal controls over financial reporting.


* Assist in the monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting close processes and preparation of Financial Statements in accordance to US GAAP. This would include, but not limited to, calculation of the intercompany profits in inventory elimination, compilation of intercompany confirmations and the reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
* Assist in uploading various financials from different ERP systems into consolidation tool.
* Reconcile all uploads to consolidation tool.
* Coordinate with other sites and departments to ensure inputs are accurate and received in a timely manner.
* Prepare various financial analyses to ensure that financial information is accurate and prepared in accordance with GAAP. This would include preparation of Division Variance Analysis, and Monthly Cash Flow Rollforwards.
* Assist with balance sheet account reconciliations and ensure follow-up/clearing of open items is completed in a timely manner.
* Provide internal reporting information to assist finance department with forecasting and plan needs.
* Assist with preparation of various tax requests (i.e. sales and use tax filings/audits, corporate tax packages etc.).
* Research accounting pronouncements to determine impact on the company's operations.
* Perform complex analysis of various technical accounting concepts. This includes ASC 606 and ASC 842.
* Ensure that all policies and procedures are executed as written.
* Locate and define new process improvement opportunities within the department.
* Develop and maintain relationships with operating sites to resolve questions/issues that arise in the normal course of business.
* Assist with special projects as necessary.

* Required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance preferred; minimum of five years of Public Accounting experience with an advanced knowledge of accrual-based accounting.
* Preferred: SAP experience, working knowledge of intra-/inter-company transactions, manufacturing accounting experience.

CPA certification preferred

The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Theability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. The ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

* ERP software experience (SAP and/or Oracle experience preferred).
* Hyperion software experience preferred.
