Carlisle Construction Materials Incorporated (CCM), a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an immediate opening for a Regional Technical Sales Specialist.  In this role, you will facilitate the sale of Carlisle SynTec products by providing general product, project and territory development support and training to customers. This position will cover the territory of: AL, GA, FL, and TN and ideally should be located in Atlanta, GA.  

A company vehicle is provided with the anticipated overnight travel of 60%.

Primary Job and Responsibilities

  • Correspond with sales force and customers via phone, email and in person to provide sales and project support. 
  • Review project specifications, drawings and mock-up construction to assure appropriateness of product selection and use.
  • Travel with sales force and deliver educational presentations to construction professionals (Architects, Consultants, Contractors, General Contractors, Owners).
  • Provide field and web-based training to the sales force and customers, including SynTec product knowledge and continuing education programs (AIA, etc.).
  • Promote and demonstrate new product information to contractors, consultants and architects.
  • Assist Regional Manager with developing and facilitating of Territory Development Plan (TDP) process.
  • Work with technical department to develop and execute “train the trainer” programs for proper installation of SynTec’s product line.
  • Set strategic goals including budgets, new program/product development and professional development.
  • Assist installers and sales representatives in completing submittals, product substitution requests and similar support necessary to win sales on specific projects.
  • Work with Tech Services department to draft project-specific shop drawings and instructions where required.
  • Deliver warranty, code and design information to construction professionals (Architects, Consultants, Contractors, General Contractors, Owners).

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Technical field, or related field required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience working in the construction or manufacturing industry required.  Preferably commercial roofing.
  • Candidates must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and excel in making face to face presentations in front of large groups.
  • Candidates must have a proven track record in a technical sales or sales support role.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and provide strong customer service is required.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office suite is also required.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
