Job Description


The Quality Control Technician position is responsible for performing analytical testing of in of the Polyurethane Systems quality control activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Perform analytical and physical testing of raw materials and finished products using company test procedures and the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) methods. (40%)
* Prepare test and quality assurance reports to provide records of test results and to certify product quality per the customer's request. (15%)
* Assist in customer complaint investigation and quality issues by testing the product to determine the root cause. Discuss preventive and corrective actions. (10%)
* Clean lab bench areas, test equipment, organize work areas. (10%)
* Prepare batch ticket adjustments and calculations on in-process materials. (5%)
* Properly report test results and file information for retrieval and creation of Certificates of Analysis. (10%)
* Adhere to an organized system to preserve, retrieve and dispose/recycle raw materials and product retains. (5%)
* Perform other duties as assigned.

* Education -- High School diploma or GED required
* A.A.S. in chemistry or a related field preferred
* Minimum of 1 - 5 years' related experience for performing duties of the job
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Knowledge of computer software, including applications (ERP Systems, Microsoft Suite)
* Knowledge of laboratory test equipment, physical tester, hydraulic press and high speed disperser
* Knowledgeable of safety, quality productivity and inventory processes
