Job Description

Carlisle Construction Materials, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an immediate opening for a Production Supervisor, at its Terrell, TX Poly-ISO manufacturing facility.  The Production Supervisor will supervise activities of production department in the production of Poly-ISO Insulation and associated products.  Employee will be used to fill in on other jobs in plant as required.

This position will primarily be on 2nd or 3rd shift – candidates must be willing to work all three shifts as needed

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise activities of Production
  • Direct and coordinate activities associated with the production department.
  • Supervise all plants safety rules and regulations.
  • Document yearly reviews on employees.
  • Document incident, disciplinary action, accident/injury reports and other related forms when needed.
  • Advanced understanding of all production positions.
  • Inspect material for quality defects.
  • Housekeeping of plant inside and out.
  • Help with the up-keep of the entire plant.
  • Assist in training of new team members.
  • Fill in for other supervisors when required, due to vacation, off-site meetings and absenteeism.
  • Fill in on other areas of the plant as required.
  • Safe/Proper disposal of Waste Chemical.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required in Engineering, Chemistry or a related field; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.  In addition, candidates must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with proven experience in one or more leadership or supervisory positions.  Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and associated tools are required.  Strong communication skills, along with MS Office suite knowledge is essential.  Candidates must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
