We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager – Roof Accessories to join our Marketing team in Carlisle, PA. 

This role is responsible for providing marketing and sales support for Roof Accessory products, including metal, skylights, fasteners and sealants, to Carlisle reps/distributors, roof consultants, specifiers, building owners, and contractors.  The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for the coordination of the new product development efforts as well as implementation of product line enhancements.  In this capacity, the manager will maintain responsibility for dealing with customer service support issues related to the roof accessories.

Travel requirement: 40%

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the maintenance of marketing/advertising material and literature related to the roof accessories product line as well as relationships and communication with external accessory product vendors.
  • Monitor technical documentation and work with internal personnel in the generation and updating of these documents.
  • Manage the new product development process to permit the addition of new products, systems, and components both with internal CCM teams and with external vendors.
  • Responsible for implementing and deploying new roof accessory products, technologies, systems.
  • Solicit input from the field on product quality, competitive products, marketing programs, and potential new products.
  • Develop annual Marketing Plans and coordinate plans with external vendors.
  • Presentations to inside and outside groups regarding the product lines, promotional programs, product offerings and project status in a professional manner (both verbally and in writing).
  • Knowledge of the financial components of product and marketing management, including product profit contributions, P & L statements, budgets and other financial metrics.
  • Analysis of sales data, sales trends, forecasting of future sales are essential skills.
  • Customer service interaction including communications facilitation between customers, Sales, R&D, Production, Shipping, Scheduling/Inventory Control, internal customer service, marketing communications and external vendors.
  • Provide support as well as evaluate for products on job sites with roofing contractors.
  • Determine market price constraints for the products/systems, as well as draft cost analysis using time studies and information on competitive products.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in building materials industry, preferably in commercial roofing or metal residential roofing
  • 3+ years of marketing, sales, or product management experience
  • Strong relationship building skills and the ability to interact at all levels within an organization
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the sales channel, commercial roofing sales channel is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment working with a strong sense of urgency
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strong project management skills are preferred
