Job Description

The emphasis of this position is the application of existing brake and hydraulic products that

offer solutions to global CBF customers. Must have strong interpersonal and creativity

skills and implement solutions for customer's equipment that meet internal & customer

quality, cost, and delivery goals. In addition, must utilize engineering skills to provide

technical solutions to product support issues that arise with the existing brake and hydraulic

products offered by CBF.

This role will also support global sales initiatives by working with the Sales Team to

analyze customer applications and to make recommendations on brake and actuation system

solutions. Also support ongoing product changes related to issues as needed for customers,

quality, and manufacturing.

Specific Duties:

• Technical support for global customers to support the implementation of Carlisle products.
• Work closely with sales team to communicate technical specifications and analyze customer requirements with the focus being on providing full system solutions.
• Maintain documentation associated with projects including engineering change notices, detailed engineering calculations, Creo models and associated component drawings, design worksheets, and supplier correspondence files.
• Responsible for organizing and prioritizing workload to insure customer requests are handled in a timely manner. Must be comfortable multi-tasking.
• Work with manufacturing, quality, and sourcing departments to ensure quality, manufacturability, and cost targets are achieved.
• Perform Finite Element Analysis of assemblies using Pro/Mechanica.
• Develop test specifications and write test requests to ensure designs meet customer expectations in terms of performance and durability.
• Select materials and specifications which will meet durability and cost requirements.

Work Experience:

Minimum of a B. S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Agricultural Engineering.

0 - 5years of product development or customer support experience --familiarity of construction / mining / AG equipment a plus.

• 3D CAD modeling experience -- Creo experience a plus
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience with FMEA, GD&T, FEA
• Experience with sand-cast and precision machined components
• Experience with hydraulics a plus
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in fast paced team supporting customer solutions.
• Analytical Skills, communication, Team Building & Leadership.
• Ability to travel (LESS THAN 15%)
