Job Description



SUMMARY
Perform a variety of inventory control functions, which include performing cycle counts, researching inventory related ERP transactions, executing inventory relocation projects, performing inventory discrepancy investigations, among other things... However, the Inventory Control Material Handlers' core accountability will be to assist the team in ensuring inventory accuracy and accurate record keeping. Work in a team environment and able to follow direction and processes to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations of Carlisle IT's inventory control department.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Physically locating and counting materials
Stocking inventory within the warehouse and factory
Transferring inventory within the factory
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SAP ERP system
Maintain orderly, clean and safe work area and actively promotes 5S practices
Ensuring the utilization of FIFO material usage principles via bin profiling
Use WAV and Big Joe lift equipment to perform duties as required
Interact with other departments to resolve discrepancies as needed
Maintain orderly, clean and safe work area
Use the re-spool machine for wire and cable to perform re-spooling job duties when necessary
Utilize label master and label designer programs to perform labeling job functions
Hand count and/or operate weighing scale to ensure proper quantities of parts/material are pulled
Regular and predictable on-site attendance

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities



QUALIFICATIONS

* Previous experience in an inventory control team highly preferred

* Experience and able to operate forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, re-spoolers, logistics software, SAP ERP package and other warehouse machine operations.
* Basic math skills.
* Computer and keyboarding skills required.
* Able to communicate effectively and maintain relations with internal and external customers.
* Demonstrate sound judgment when following through with priorities.
* Able to handle interruptions and maintain focus.
* Team oriented individual; willing to work cross functionally in various areas of the warehouse.
* Flexible and adaptable to work in a rapidly changing environment.
* Able and willing to work flexible/additional hours on short notice.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

* • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must maintain industry certifications as applicable to position and value stream that is supported. Including but not limited to; IPC-WHMA-A-620, IPC-JSTD-001, IPC-610, IPC-600 and NASA 8739
