SUMMARY
Responsible for production operations and the successful implementation and execution of production plans. Develop and effectively implement ideas that maximize productivity. This position incorporates strategic, tactical and technical objectives to meet current and projected production goals. Responsible for increasing manufacturing profitability, efficiency and productivity through technology, training and lean processes


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Proactively evaluate sales forecasts and the company's business and revenue plans, backlog, and production capacity and translates into a timely master plan which meets financial goals, supports sales and achieves customer satisfaction
* Provide leadership for continuous process improvements across all work centers
* Oversee the operation and flow of Production to ensure customer needs are met for quality and on time delivery
* Partner with Director of Operations and other senior managers to establish long range operating goals
* Coordinate activities of all production areas and actively collaborates with manufacturing engineering and production scheduling for maximum efficiencies
* Plan and implement action programs to achieve Carlisle IT Quality Objectives. Analyzes and reports on performance results compared to goals on a monthly and quarterly basis
* Plan and implement action programs to achieve Carlisle Operating Systems (COS) objectives. Works closely with COS Manager to see results
* Identify equipment needs. Provide comparative analysis and justification for new equipment; ensure equipment is ordered, set up and runs efficiently
* Work closely with Sales Team to evaluate and develop new products. Assist with assessing new product manufacturability and ensure that Production competencies and capabilities are in place for prototype and first of models
* Create an annual departmental budget. Achieves the department's monthly financial objectives. Ensures scrap and rework financial transactions are accurate. Manages expenses and unabsorbed labor to budgeted (or below) levels
* Establish facility requirements and ensure that facility requirements are met for Production
* Maintain clear and effective communication within and among groups; keep employees informed about department and company goals and progress
* Regular and predictable on-site attendance

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

* Responsible for direction, coordination and evaluation of supervisors, professional staff and production employees
* Hold supervisors accountable for meeting goals and objectives and timely performance of all duties and responsibilities. Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
* Responsibilities include interview, hire and cross-training employees; plan and direct work; appraise performance; reward and regulate employee behavior; address complaints and enact solutions
* Provide coaching and development to supervisors, leads and employees to develop and enhance their technical and operational performance. Meets with subordinates according to performance review schedule for formal performance evaluation and goal setting
* Display effective leadership as defined by the Carlisle IT Model Manager guidelines
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is performed in a normal office environment with minimal physical risks involved. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate

QUALIFICATIONS

* Experience in contract manufacturing and/or cable harness assembly a plus. Proven success in setting up lean manufacturing environment, planning capacity, meeting production goals
* Minimum 6 years' experience in management position responsible for multiple functions
* Strong analytical, numerical, financial and reasoning abilities
* Proven team building, problem solving and project management skills; sound, reliable judgment and high ethical standards
* Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, constantly changing production environment.
* A positive, professional image and participative management style.
* Proven ability to implement new programs, ideas and/or solutions with hands-on implementation style
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; understand, speak, read and write in English language
* Ability to communicate and develop positive relationships in a multi-cultural setting
* Ability to establish credibility with all employees and customers
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Project Management software, MRP, Scheduling and Forecasting software

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

* BA/BS degree in business, industrial engineering; equivalent education and management experience may substitute
* Minimum 8 years manufacturing experience in a lean environment with ISO 9000-2001 certification

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must maintain industry certifications as applicable to position and value stream that is supported. Including but not limited to; IPC-WHMA-A-620, IPC-JSTD-001, IPC-610, IPC-600 and NASA 8739
