Engineering support for Carbon manufacturing. Responsible for the design and
installation of capital equipment to support growth initiatives for the Carbon business. Implement equipment and processes that can be easily scaled and that meet all safety, quality, delivery, and cost initiatives. Recommend and propose cell layouts for production based on Lean concepts and principles.


Manage capital projects and partner with equipment suppliers to specify and manage installation of new equipment and upgrades.
Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes.
Generate work instructions, standard work, and related documentation.
Act as a training resource for Production and Maintenance on new processes and process changes.
Design and manage fabrication of tooling, jigs, and fixtures as needed.
Solve problems confronting manufacturing performance.
Review and implement assigned ECRs relating to plant process improvements.
Incumbent must physically and mentally perform the job demands as listed above.


Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred.
Ideal candidate would be a "hands-on" person with a minimum of 3 -- 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of diverse manufacturing processes. Proficient in the use of 2D/3D software such as Pro/Engineer (PTC Creo) and AutoCAD. Familiar with 6-Sigma and Lean tools and concepts. Basic PLC and electrical experience
