Job Summary:



Perform inspections of product to verify conformance to Tri-Star Electronics and customer requirements.



Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:



•Able to inspect first product for conformance to specifications. Checks for defects such as cracks, pits, and incomplete solder/welding.

•Able to verify specific dimensions of product or material, using inspection such as gauges, templates, and preset micrometers, and dial indicators.

•May be required to read work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, diagrams, and schematics to determine testing procedures and equipment to be used.

•Able to use statistical sampling plan

•Ensures tools are clean, maintained and calibrated

•Able to perform inspection per QCP 049 & 051





Language Skills

•Must communicate effectively, both written and verbal, to employees at all levels.

Reasoning Ability

•Must be able to understand departmental documentation and be able to process accurately.



Additional Skills, Education and Experience Preferred (Not Required):



•High school diploma or equivalent.

•Certificate from college or technical school or a minimum six months in equivalent experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

•Prior experience in a Quality Inspection environment.



Physical Demands:



•This position uses a computer terminal to access, input, and retrieve data.

•This position may be subject to on the job interruptions which may cause a change in priorities and/or work focus.

•This position is primarily a sedentary position working in a controlled, environment. While performing duties of this position, employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, and/or bend.

•May occasionally lift and/or move up files or boxes up to 20 pounds.

•May be subjected to occasional irregular or extended work hours.

•Must be able to work in an environment that may be subject to occasional loud noises, hazardous materials and chemicals.

Skills and/or Experience Needed:



•Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instruction and basic blueprints.

•Able to perform simple math calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).

•Perform visual inspection under microscope

•Able to make transactions in Oracle (Move, Quality Plan, etc.)
