SUMMARY

* The Inside Sales -- Business Development Representative is responsible for driving sales growth while ensuring that Carlisle's customers are provided high quality, effective customer service, which maintains customer retention. This person also ensures CarlisleIT is professionally and responsibly represented in the industry and that our organization meets the expected level of service, responsiveness and quality objectives of the customer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Develops new business opportunities to provide a foundation for continuous upward sales trends while meeting all profitability objectives.
* Strives to execute sales strategy and target as established in the annual forecast by Sales Manager and Sales Director.
* Follows up on new contacts to ensure the customer feels valued and is thinking of Carlisle as they execute their day to day activities.
* Proactively follows up on open quotes to ensure Carlisle is meeting the customer expectation, collecting and reporting on any feedback from customers in regards to won or lost quotes.
* Develops and maintains customer relationships making 100% customer satisfaction top priority.
* Makes ethical and responsible pricing decisions, aligning with Product Line Management.
* Acts as liaison between customer and internal CarlisleIT team members to ensure customer expectations are communicated and met.
* Maintains up to date knowledge of the industry.
* Accessible to customers during off-hours, including early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to communicate effectively in English in both oral and written communication skills

Travel -- up to 20%

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

* Four (4) year degree or equivalent experience is required. Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university is preferred.

* Minimum three (3) years of related experience in a sales environment with heavy customer interaction; manufacturing environment preferred.
* Technical and/or cable and electronic component knowledge desired.
* Knowledge of ERP/CRM systems preferred, such as SAP.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Successful track record of growing sales in a Business-to-Business environment.
* Solid critical thinking skills to analyze information and develop creative approaches to problem solving.
* A team player that can relate to people at all levels of the organization and possesses excellent communication skills.
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, suppliers, and employees.
* Superior ability to escalate tactfully in order to receive acceptable customer resolution.
* Portrays a positive and professional image. Ability to establish relations with a wide range of personalities, cultural backgrounds and educational levels.
* Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as percentages, ratios, and proportions to job-related situations.
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.
* Computer skills -- Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills are mandatory; advanced skills in Microsoft Office a plus.
* Exceptional organization skills, detail-oriented approach and thorough in completing tasks with speed.
* Ability to work professionally and effectively on the telephone, through email, through written correspondence, on a PC and on the Carlisle IT systems.
