Job Description

Performs day to day Human Resources activities in support of internal client group, including: administration of HR policies, procedures and programs. The Human Resources Generalist carries out the responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, HR data analysis, training and development, benefits, compliance, performance management, wellness, organizational development, recruitment, and compensation, support of the company's employees, Expatriates program, and special projects.


* Administers state and federal legal regulations, company policies and procedures, benefits, timekeeping, ADP-Vantage, eTime payroll, Performance and Learning Management system, Applicant Tracking
* Represents/Responds to and follow up on unemployment claims to ensure correct information is given outside agencies
* Answers routine inquiries from inside and outside the company on employment verifications, paychecks, benefit questions and other payroll related matters in line with written company policy
* Maintains Human Resources records on payroll and timekeeping databases and also maintains hard copy personnel records, benefit files, medical records, and termination files
* Designs and writes reports to meet management requests and needs for payroll and HR related information using the ADP-Vantage database
* Assists in administration of the compensation program to include reporting for salary surveys, compile statistics related to Human Resources such as labor hours, benefits, insurance, sick leave and attendance
* Performs training for all Human Resource needs
* Advise management on complex employee relations issues
* Thoroughly and objectively investigates employee relations issues and complaints and makes recommendations for appropriate action in support of/directed by the Human Resources Manager
* Is primary contact for all ADP and eTime related items for the division corporate employees.
* Performs duties in the day to day employee interactions related to their benefits program to include:

* Communications to employees of any changes occurring with the plan as directed by the carrier or the Payroll and Benefits Manager
* Medical leave and leave of absence administration
* Filing as needed
* Accurate processing of all employees leaves (i.e. FMLA, FLA, LOA, etc.)
* Claims resolutions
* Assists with Open Enrollment preparation

* Administers and manages all staffing and recruiting activities for new positions, co-op students and interns

* Post positions
* Qualifies and provides candidates to hiring managers
* Arranges interviews
* Manages Company Careers website and internal open position data base
* Drafts offer letters, manages relocation program
* Performs other duties in Human Resources Department, as required, to include composing and typing correspondence regarding payroll and employee reports and procedures, faxing, photocopying, newsletter, assembling booklets, filing, document packets, etc.

* Minimum Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree preferred
* PHR certification preferred
* Minimum 1-3 years HR experience preferred
* Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access etc.)
* Extensive ADP Vantage/eTime experience preferred
* Thorough knowledge of labor and employment law, worker's compensation and statutes a plus
* Excellent communication and conflict management skills, ability to work effectively with both employees and managers
* Ability to provide council and convey a positive and professional image to employees
* Ability to read, interpret and uphold CarlisleIT policy, procedures and culture through positive relations with internal and external contacts
* Ability to speak effectively in front of groups of managers and employees
* Ability to calculate and check figures, amounts, commissions and percentages
* Ability to effectively solve practical problems and make timely decisions
* Ability to uphold CarlisleIT policy, procedure and culture through relations with internal and external contacts. Experience working with expatriates a plus
* Able to maintain a clean and organized working environment
* Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of payroll and human resources work
* Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed to support plant operations

This is an air conditioned facility with many pieces of equipment that produce heat. The following are potential items encountered: fumes, dust, noise, hazardous/toxic chemicals. Appropriate training is provided and documented based on job placement that complies with OSHA and EPA regulations.

Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety rated glasses are required for the job when in the manufacturing areas. Safety toed shoes or boots (ASTM 2413-11 standard) are required in specific manufacturing areas.
