Job Description


* Maintaining current electrician's license to meet state and governmental regulations * Troubleshooting electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits * Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems such as: switch gears, motor controls, electrical panels, CT cabinets, conveyor systems, lighting, and power supplies * Installing power supply wiring and conduit such as: EMT, O-CAL, Rigid conduit, MC cable, strut, cable trays * Add/remove electrical drops and outlets * Testing electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system * Inspecting systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes * Maintaining RTUs HVAC & Exhaust Fans * Directing or training workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures * Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem * Carry out PM tasks and inspections * Coordinate vendor resource requirements and tooling needs * Document activities by preparing reports for all incidents * Keep abreast of new technology, electrical services, and maintenance processes * Build workstations and move production cells as needed Requirements 5 years of experience in commercial/industrial electrical with a completed apprenticeship course or degree Possess a current state license or certification to meet government regulations Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines Ability to follow electrical code manuals to install and repair electrical systems Understand schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications required by our client Experience working with hand tools, power tool and electronic test equipment Ability to work safely from ladders, scaffolds and lifts Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation High standard of integrity and professionalism SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has department Lead supervisory responsibilities ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBLITIES: Other duties as required in support of the department and company QUALIFICATIONS: * 5+ years' experience as Journeyman Electrician in a commercial environment * One of the following Electrician Certification: General electrical (01) / HVAC/refrigeration (06A) / Nonresidential maintenance (07) * Proficient in electrical installation and maintenance * Knowledge of electrical tools and machines * Possess strong manual dexterity * Strong eye-hand coordination * Ability to recognize wires by colors * Excellent written and verbal communicating skills, and problem-solving ability * Works effectively in a fast paced, and rapidly changing environment with ability to multi-task * Self-motivated, works well in a team and independently * Flexible, to work nights and weekends as needed on short notice * Demonstrates good judgment and decision-making skills * Exceptional customer service skills * Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license * Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. As the Journeyman Electrician and Factory lead you will be responsible for installing and repairing electrical systems, HVAC units, industrial machinery and equipment. Read and maintain electrical designs, with an emphasis on quality work performed efficiently and following all applicable local and national codes. Determine type and cost of materials required for projects and determine layouts. Lead facilities maintenance technicians and custodians to ensure daily activities and work requests are handled in a timely manner. Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on electrical systems, HVAC units, chillers and retrofitting equipment as required to improve the efficiency and performance of the factory. Must be able to work with suppliers, inspectors, and co-workers to ensure electrical systems remain operational and projects are completed on-time with minimal disruption to operations. Perform office activities and assist in maintaining facility internal/external building esthetics.
