Carlisle Interconnect Technologies - Pottstown has a fantastic opportunity for a knowledgeable, hands-on EH&S Manager to join our team! This role will provide leadership and effectively influence and motivate others. The EH&S Manager interfaces with all areas of the business to maintain and ensure compliance with state and federal environmental, health and safety laws and regulations. The EH&S Manager will promote the general the general health and safety of the employees, as well as promote EH&S best practices at the Pottstown facility.
The products offered by CIT today serve more applications than ever before. Our products can be found in systems ranging from military communications, radar, missile guidance and satellites, aviation, mobile devices, cellular transmitters and receivers, and a wide range of test equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:* Maintains current working knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulation affecting the workplace and keeps Manager and others regularly informed.* Responsible for developing a working partnership within the facility that will promote a positive approach to insuring worker health and safety.* Responsible for establishing and maintaining the infrastructure and organization necessary to consistently deliver industry leading Safety and Health performance through training and development of all applicable written plans and programs ensuring compliance with 29-CFR-1910 and 1926 and RCW.49.17 as well as any required EPA mandates.* Develop, implement and update environmental compliance plans based on the site regulatory requirements (Federal, State & Local permits.)* Completes all weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual inspections required by local, state and federal regulations and update/submit required Company reports.* Prepare, submit and manage all facility required compliance calendar air operating permits as well as any required TRI, SERC (TIER II) compliance reporting.* Work in conjunction with HR and the training department to oversee the development and delivery, as well as any updating, to training in new employee safety orientation as well as any other required training mandates or modules specific to the facility.* Develop, maintain written compliance plans and programs, including Contingency Plan & Emergency Procedures; RCRA Hazardous Waste Management Program; Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plan and a Universal Waste program.* Manage the weekly inspections of any hazardous material storage, transfer or satellite accumulation areas.* Oversee the maintenance of all emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers, eye wash stations and first aid kits properly stocked and identified on emergency action plans when relocated.* Oversee the on-site EH&S Committee and in their activities including self-audits, awareness, program or task development, communication and recognition programs.* Provide information and articles topical to the recent conditions or upcoming events and programs for publishing in the monthly newsletter.* Partner with HR to conduct and document injury, accident and near miss investigations to determine root cause. Implement and follow up on all corrective and preventative measures to determine 300 log recording applicability as required by OSHA.* Works with Quality Assurance in developing, reviewing and updating safety auditing checklists, SFP, SP and other quality controlled documents.* Oversight responsibility for ISO 14001 Environmental Compliance.* Manages/oversees all factory safety metrics such as LWDII, IR, Recordable Injuries, etc. on a monthly basis* Manages/oversees the workplace ergonomic program.* Provides technical assistance in evaluating all industrial hygiene practice required.* Contribute to the best practice "Carlisle Operating System" Lean vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance.* Willing and able to support continuous improvement activities.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES: * Main point of contact for Corporate Safety Steering Committee and its direction* Fully responsible for the full integration, communication and outputs of the safety related function* Responsible for establishing the core competencies for the department.* Responsible establishing, in conjunction with HR, the corrective action for safety violations
WORK ENVIRONMENT: * Majority of the work will be conducted from an office environment. Extended periods of sitting may be required for administrative activities while extended periods of standing may be required for shop floor assignments within an air-conditioned manufacturing facility.* Must be willing to work overtime, some nights and weekends, and holidays as needed or as required due to unforeseen conditions, circumstances or events.

QUALIFICATIONS: * 7 years of management experience with a strong knowledge of both Environmental regulations and Health and Safety regulatory knowledge.* Environmental Health and Safety Management Specialist certification desired.* Demonstrated experience in the application and integration of EH&S management systems with ISO-9001, AS-9100 and ISO 14001 in a manufacturing facility.* Current OSHA 40-hour hazardous waste operator.* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with wide variety of audiences (operators, management, engineering, etc.).* Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers and Microsoft Office products, primarily the use of word processing, environmental database applications, PowerPoint presentation and spreadsheet software.* Fundamental concept of mathematics to the rules of compliance calculations, threshold limits and hazardous waste quantification.* Knowledge of U.S. regulatory requirements regarding RCRA. Skill in interpreting and applying OSHA and EPA regulations and developing compliant workplace programs. Skill in developing and providing safety-related technical training and in developing written SOPs and programs. Skill in designing exposure sampling plans, interpreting results, and completing necessary documents, records and reports. Ability to evaluate exposure controls and identify and implement improvements to exposure controls.* Direct experience in developing and implementing environmental and safety stewardship programs.* Direct experience developing and implementing waste minimization plans and programs.* Demonstrated ability to influence by example and the ability to work with all levels of the organization.* Ability to develop and make presentations before various audience sizes at all levels of the organization.* Ability to productively deal with regulatory agencies, consultants and other contractor personnel.* Position has a wide range of EH&S decision-making requirements such as people, resources, process controls, supplies, environmental, safety and policy development and modification.* Manage hazard identification, analysis and control programs.* Ability to accomplish tasks with the desired results.* Ability to drive results in either a team environment or an individual project through resource efficiency and multi-tasking.* Ability to manage multiple projects and personnel while keeping those projects on schedule and within budget.* It will be a plus the knowledge and previous experience with Quality System and Compliance management ISO 9001
