ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Job Summary:

Carlisle Construction Materials, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an immediate opening for an Engineering Technician, at its Carlisle, PA location. The Engineering Technician (ET) will provide project support to the Plant Engineering staff and to all CCM manufacturing sites.  The ET will routinely assess, monitor, and enhance the maintenance performance at each plant via project related interaction or designated periodic tasks. This individual will be responsible for the organization of tasks and the coordination of work flow for their self as well as others throughout the company’s maintenance departments. 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Organize preventive/predictive maintenance programs
  • Consolidate & report maintenance effectiveness, by plant, on a quarterly basis
  • Assist with establishment and/or maintenance of CMMS at all CCM operations
  • Audit maintenance training needs and develop/implement programs to address areas of concern
  • Monitor significant plant downtime events and provide or coordinate assistance as necessary
  • Standardize preventive and predictive maintenance programs and practices at all CCM manufacturing operations
  • Supervise equipment installation and provision of start-up assistance at CCM operations
  • Supervise & coordinate facility construction activity on an as needed basis
  • Manage project documentation 

Minimum Job Requirements:

A  Degree in engineering or a compilation of technical training related to industrial maintenance practices and manufacturing operations;  5-10 years of plant maintenance responsibilities with emphasis on preventive programs, and major maintenance project planning and implementation. Strong communication skills and CAD knowledge is also required.
