SUMMARY
Engineering co-op will support the Engineering team (Sub-groups: Automation Eng, Process Eng, and Product Eng) in completion of projects.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Develop and design tooling to support manufacturing areas. Fabrication of tooling in working with Tool and Die ship or utilizing 3D printer.
* Participates in problem solving and continuous improvement projects to improve manufacturing capabilities and-or reduce costs through process improvements, tooling or automation.
* Assist in the review of customer requirements and creation of manufacturing documents
* Write macros and software tools to improve efficiency in business processes.
* Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be able to work in a factory environment to include walking the factory floor and other related activated as well as working in an administrative environment.

Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety rated glasses are required for the job when in the manufacturing areas. Safety toed shoes or boots (ASTM 2413-11 standard) are required in specific manufacturing areas.

EDUCATION
Applicant should be actively pursuing a degree in Engineering or similar technical field.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
JOB SKILLS

* Experience with 3D modeling, preferably using Solidworks.

* Aptitude for basic computer programming
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to lead, participate in, collaborate and advise cross functional project teams
* Accepts responsibility for own actions, accountable for project deliverables and goals
