Job Description

The position assumes duties that encompass all the inbound and outbound functions of the manufacturing plant.


High School Diploma or GED, and up to one year related experience or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for picking, receiving, packing, and loading and unloading trucks.
Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.
Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.
Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of
product is loaded and shipped. Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer
service standards.
Responsible of the safe operation of company moving equipment
Ensure the accuracy of picks and inventory by maintaining inventory control systems (ie: electronic scanners, written reports, pick tickets, etc.)
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.
Actively engaged in the Carlisle Operating System within the respective location's initiatives
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description, and Supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
Ability to speak, read and comprehend English is preferred in order to interpret written documents such as shop orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with supervisors, co-workers and customers.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals is preferred. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs is preferred.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
