Job Summary:

Carlisle Construction Materials, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an immediate opening for a Distribution Specialist, at its Senatobia, MS location. This position is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of our roofing products to customers by coordinating shipments with regional sales administration and scheduling deliveries with various carriers. Cycle counts and Inventory management will be a significant part of weekly tasks. This is a lead person position, reporting directly to the Materials Manager.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with Customers: work with Customer Service, Production, and Shipping/ Receiving Departments to achieve timely and complete delivery of orders to customer
  • Create, execute, route shipments within SAP to ensure timely delivery. This would include all types of shipments, Domestic, International, Truckload, LTL, and Parcel
  • Participates in necessary training relative to job functions and new regulations, i.e. IMDG, 49 CFR, etc.
  • Follow and actively participate in Safety program.
  • Performs cycle counts on a daily/ weekly basis to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Completes and maintains necessary movements in SAP for Quality Holds and misc. inventory movements
  • Monitors emails and complete requests in a timely manner
  • Coordinates customer returns with appropriate carrier when requested by customer service
  • Maintain and distribute daily/ monthly reports and spreadsheets. This will include participation in monthly conference calls relating to transportation.
  • Perform other job functions based on needs as a fill in to maintain departments function ability during vacations and/ or leave ( Dispatcher, Billing Clerk, receiving)
  • Work with accounting department to resolve freight invoice issues through work cycle

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of a two-year Associates Degree
  • Knowledge of truck lines, shipping terminology, regulations and dispatching
  • Previous experience in inventory control, hazmat, and export shipping is preferred
  • Strong math, writing, computer, organizational, and negotiation skills required
  • Familiarity with SAP and materials resource planning software is a plus
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
