DIRECTOR OF SALES AND MARKETING

Job Summary:

Carlisle Construction Materials, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an immediate opening for a Director of Sales and Marketing, in the Northwest region.  The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for all sales and marketing activities within Insulfoam. The position is responsible for building a strong and talented leadership team; and works closely with the Director of Manufacturing to optimize the sales and profitability of Insulfoam.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop tactical and strategic goals to support the business unit’s financial objectives with frequent reviews to insure operation remains achieves committed results.
  • Communicate strategic and tactical plans to all employees and create an environment where all workers are motivated to contribute to the execution of the plan.
  • Continually assess progress of leadership team and provide regular formal and informal coaching to assist all leaders and sales reps to achieve desired results.  GM is responsible for the hiring and termination of all management and sales positions.
  • Maintain daily oversight of the sales activities, establishing and reviewing key metrics, including sales, product mix, regional sale and sales rep performance
  • Review monthly financial performance and direct necessary resources to correct where results may be falling short.  Provide monthly business summary to President and CFO, identifying gaps and necessary countermeasures needed to correct.
  • Take active role in customer activities to insure channels and segments are being managed consistently.  Work with reps and regional managers to develop sales skills in support of market strategies.
  • Continually assess market opportunities and provide recommendations to CCM senior leadership.
  • Constantly seek opportunities to team with other CCM business units with the intent of increasing the breadth and dollar volume of CCM products installed on projects.
  • Review of all contracts to insure Carlisle interests are protected.
  • Work with Director of Manufacturing and Plant Managers to develop necessary capital justifications to support plant upgrades and expansion of capabilities from a business perspective.
  • Leads a Team of Regional Sales Directors with a focus in developing professional sales management skills and technique and the development of field sales.
  • Set marketing strategies and insure all marketing dollars are well spent.
  • Participate in periodic customer calls with sales reps to assess abilities and adherence to sales approach and alignment with Company values.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field required
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a sales environment is required.  Experience within the roofing/construction industry is preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience managing people, either company employed persons or manufacturers' representative/distributor personnel.
  • Experience with single-ply roofing products, either from a sales or installation perspective is highly preferred. 
  • Strong computer knowledge including MS Office suite and CRM products
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
