Job Description


Develop new Space and Military Defense business while growing and maintaining existing business at acceptable margins. Ensures CarlisleIT is professionally and responsibly represented in the industry and that our organization meets the expected level of service, responsiveness and quality objectives of the customer. Determine appropriate amount of time required to obtain maximum productivity and customer satisfaction. Develop and achieve bookings forecast for designated territory and market segments. Act as a customer liaison to ensure overall customer satisfaction rating; and generation of Program Leads for New Business Development. Provide feedback and make recommendations regarding market requirements, changes, competitors, and new business opportunities.


Ideal candidate will be located in Southern California.


* Execute sales strategy, set sales objectives and annual forecast and strive to meet them.
* Develop new business opportunities to provide a foundation for continuous upward sales trends while meeting all profitability objectives.
* Follow up on new contacts to ensure the customer feels valued and is thinking of CarlisleIT as they execute their day to day activities.
* Develop marketing and business strategies, innovative processes and programs to meet objectives which are consistent with a "customer-focused" high performance sales organization.
* Establish professional and responsive relationships with customers to ensure total customer satisfaction and continued business.
* Make ethical and responsible pricing decisions that take into account market conditions while working to grow or maintain strong margins.
* Follow up with customers to ensure CarlisleIT is meeting or exceeding the service levels that the customer expects or beyond.
* Provide problem solving, cost effective and solution-oriented proposals.
* Act as a liaison between customer and internal CarlisleIT team members to ensure all customer expectations are communicated, understood and met throughout the organization.
* A responsible and cooperative team leader with other departments to address and resolve customer problems. Understand and work within CarlisleIT's policies and procedures.
* Add a high level of technical product service and value to meet the goals of the organization.
* Maintain up to date knowledge of the industry.

Acts in a leadership capacity to enforce the customer strategy, by mentoring, monitoring work and schedules by directing day to day activities. While this position does not have any direct reports, it is one of leadership across multiple departments that work collaboratively to ensure ultimate customer success.

* Minimum 4 year college degree in technical or marketing discipline.
* Minimum of three years' experience in the Space and/or Military Defense Industry.


Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.


* Working knowledge of financial reports and ratios; understand relationships of margins, inventory turns, costs, profit and loss, etc.
* High energy and sense of urgency to meet internal and external customer expectations.
* Highly motivated; possess the desire to set and meet high performance standards based on excellence for the benefit of the customer, the individual, team members and internal customers.
* Maintains professional appearance and conduct.
* Has a thorough understanding and operates under CarlisleIT's policies and procedures. Has generalized working knowledge of the process and procedures that relate to the sales department's "internal customers."
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Computer skills to include mainframe and Microsoft Office products.
* Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with key decision makers in large account/programs.


Work is performed in a normal office environment with minimal physical risks involved. The noise level is usually low to moderate. Occasionally the job may require that you enter the production area, which you will need to maintain OSHA safety standards.
