Job Description


• Delivers specialized product technical information, manages product specifications, and communicates product change information to customers. • Drives and manages system level requirements gathered during customer interactions into functional product requirements. • Completes Performance Analysis Reviews (PARs) of Brake Systems and manages centralization of PAR process globally. • Makes critical program-related decisions while serving as the customer/market advocate during participation in new product development programs, design reviews and product change request processes. • Responsible for supporting Sales Engineers on all technical aspects of the Brake and Clutch Systems Product Line. • Responsible for communicating specific technical product issues to Product Development. • Creates and disseminates product, service, installation, operating and maintenance manuals. • Supports resolution of current product issues and responds to technical questions with a high level of sense of urgency. • Represents the company to customers at field events such as conferences, seminars, expositions etc. • Writes reports and summarizes data analysis in reports to Customers, Product Development, Marketing, Operations, and Sales.

Ideal candidate must have a high level of technical knowledge of heavy duty industrial brake and friction product technology and capabilities. Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Must possess strong communication skills to be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports. Excellent computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, etc. Organized and analytical, able to support customer inquiries and issues about specific technical product capabilities. Knowledge of CBF policies and procedures. Knowledge of competitive products. Proven problem solving abilities. Must be prepared for extensive travel to OEM and end user sites.

5+ years relevant experience in supporting technical industrial sales. Experience and familiarity of heavy duty brakes and friction products desired.
