Job Description

Perform complex analyses & calculations based on customer-provided inputs to be able to recommend the proper solution based on the vehicle application parameters
Interact with customers & end-users on a regular basis to understand their needs and project status while supporting the Sales Team in a technical role
Travel to customer locations to present technical data, support testing, and troubleshoot application issues
Manage & present technical training both internally and with customers
Work with Test Engineering to develop new test procedures and identify opportunities for improvement in test methodology for correlation to various applications
Work with Product Engineering to design product solutions based on calculations & test results

3-5+ years of Applications Engineering experience
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to travel 20-25% of the time for customer interactions & support, occasionally to remote and/or foreign locations such as mines and manufacturing facilities
Candidate should have thorough knowledge of engineering calculations utilizing MATLAB with the ability to perform these calculations in relation to friction applications. CFD and FEA is a plus.
Knowledge of wet & dry friction, brakes, and transmissions
Ability to read and understand engineering prints
Experience with various forms of mobile equipment a plus: automotive, aerospace, off-highway heavy equipment (construction and/or mining), agriculture, etc.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent successful experience in a similar mobile equipment field.
